The diameter of the cake is 19 cm, it is sold without the wooden stand visible in the picture. Tea pressing is an ancient method originating from China, where still wet tea leaves were placed in wooden dies and then pressed. Many shapes and forms have been and still are used. From small nests, as in this case, to large nests, discs - sometimes called cookies or cakes, and ending with large tablets or bricks that had notches on the back side for easy breaking into portions. After brewing, the offered tea has a pleasant, slightly sweet taste, and earthy and smoky notes do not dominate and allow you to discover a second background with aromas of nuts, almond milk or burnt barley malt. With a sharp skewer, we break off the tea with a small piece at a time, brew it with water at a temperature of about 90 degrees Celsius. The infusion can be prepared several times.
